Iggy Azalea to spend Christmas at home with son Onyx

Iggy Azalea is determined to make her first Christmas with son Onyx one to remember. 

According to Hollywood Life, the rapper is desperately doing some last minute decorations at home after her plans for a holiday ski trip with Onyx were cancelled. 

‘She’s making a last minute effort to get a Christmas tree, put up some lights and get Onyx some cute Grinch PJs to wear,’ a source told the publication.

‘Iggy is getting into the Christmas spirit more than she has in recent years because she wants to make it such a sweet moment for Onyx,’ another source added.

‘She knows that he might not remember it at all but the photos that will be taken and the memories that Iggy will have from it will last a lifetime,’ they continued.

‘It will be a day that she can bring up to him time and time again as he gets older. It is the best gift she could ask for this year and that is to spend it with her son.’

It’s unclear if Onyx’s father, rapper Playboi Carti, will be present for the Christmas celebrations or not.

Last month, Iggy blasted her ex on Twitter after he shared a questionable post that appeared to be disrespectful towards her and their child.

Carti, 24, whose real name is Jordan Terrell Carter, had angered the Fancy star by cryptically tweeting: ‘I told da bit shut up! My son crying.’

Iggy, 30, who shares son Onyx with the rapper, fired off a series of tweets in response, and also slammed fans who she claimed had dragged her name ‘in dirt’.

The pair welcomed their son earlier this year, but Iggy announced just a few months later that she was a single mother.

After hitting back at Carti, the Mo Bounce artist also tweeted at fans who wanted to know more about what was happening between the exes.

Iggy claimed she had ‘zero clue’ what was going on, adding: ‘Honestly I had a great day and I’m confused as f**k about why I’ve logged onto some bulls**t.’

When a follower insinuated Carti was probably speaking about another woman, Iggy clapped back: ‘What b***h would you need to tell to shut up? Certainly none are around my son… and I know it ain’t me.’

‘My son has never been out without me, period. So no – no one’s been around my son. Which is why I don’t f**k with what was said. At All,’ Iggy continued.

After saying she was ‘p**sed the f**k off’, the Black Widow hitmaker later told her followers she had spoken to Carti for clarification.

‘I just spoke to my son’s father and apparently that [tweet] isn’t meant to be about me. Apparently,’ she tweeted.

While Iggy and Carti are separated, the Australian singer has made it clear that her son’s father is still involved in his life.

‘Nothing I said was intended to make it seem like my son’s father isn’t part of his life but I’ve noticed a lot of people took it that way so I wanted to clear the air,’ she posted on Instagram last month.

‘Onyx is so, so loved by his dad and always has had both parents in his life from day one.’
