After the UK’s lockdown restrictions were eased, Wayne and Coleen Rooney packed up the kids and jetted to their mansion in Barbados.
No doubt the famous family were chomping at the bit to return to the stunning property, which they also list for rental when they’re not there.
Going at a £25,000-a-week rental fee in high season, the Rooneys offer their lavish home which sleeps 14 people and includes an additional two-bedroom cottage in the grounds.

Located in the exclusive Royal Westmoreland estate on the Caribbean island, the resort has become so popular with northern celebrities that its Jasmine Ridge development is now unofficially known as the ‘Northern Quarter’.
As well as the Manchester United skipper, former England cricketer Freddie Flintoff, ex-world champion boxer Joe Calzaghe and ex-United teammate Rio Ferdinand and TV hosts Ant and Dec all own a property on the luxury estate.
Once a sugar plantation, it extends to 750 acres and has 225 privately owned villas and cottages, a clubhouse, restaurant, spa, private beach and a golf course.

The front of the whitewashed mansion is accessed by a circular driveway, with the property nestled amid swaying palm trees.
On entry, the villa opens up onto a grand lobby leading to the main hall and expansive living quarters, which includes a stunning lounge, delicately furnished with cream seating, teak furniture and ceiling fans.
On the ground floor there is a study area, kitchen, fully fitted utility room, powder room, lavish lounge quarters and media room.
The main living room boasts hardwood floors and features a trio of French doors that open up to the patio and pool terrace.

There is an infinity pool with a link bridge leading to a covered outside dining terrace, and beyond this sits the detached two-bedroom cottage for additional guests.
The master bedroom echos the living quarters with its cream and teak decor, and features its own private terrace with outdoor seating, overlooking the pool.
There are further balconies along the second storey of the expansive villa, looking out to the Caribbean seas.
The pool features a line of comfortable sun loungers and beyond this is a sweeping lush lawn and expansive gardens, which roll down towards the 18-hole golf course.

Guests receive a daily complimentary round of golf and use of a buggy on the estate.
As of 2017, the villa rents for £25,410 per week at high season – such as Christmastime – while it drops to £10,164 per week during low season.
Royal Westmoreland owner John Morphet said in 2017: ‘We have a very wide range of people here. We do have celebrities but once we come in through the gate we are all on the same level.
‘The owners are not starstruck, they leave each other alone. People don’t bother them, they just mix in.’
The Rooney clan arrived in Barbados for their annual family trip on Sunday afternoon, amid claims Wayne fears Coleen has gone too far in her legal case with Rebekah Vardy.

The family proved safety comes first as they sported protective face masks at the airport following their long flight from the UK.
Coleen and Wayne lugged their suitcases to their awaiting cabs as Kai, 10, Klay, seven, Kit, four, and Cass, two, were accompanied by her parents Colette and Tony McLoughlin.
The WAG and the Derby County captain, both 34, were seen leaving the airport with their four sons after the hot spot was announced as one of the countries which are exempt from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advice against all non-essential international travel amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Coleen is in the midst of a £1 million court battle with Becky, 38, who revealed in court documents last week her ‘extreme anguish’ about being exposed ‘to public ridicule and contempt’ by her in the so-called Wagatha Christie case.

Earlier this month, the FCO announced exemptions for visiting certain countries and territories, including Barbados, that no longer pose a high risk amid the global pandemic.
Friends say the former England football captain has hoped Coleen’s WAG war would not get to his stage but he is willing to back his wife in her quest to prove her claims and be vindicated.
A source said to The Sun: ‘Wayne thinks it’s gone too far already and dreads the thought of it reaching court.
‘He fears it could be embarrassing to him and their family what may come out. But he knows how important this is to Coleen and will back her.’
Another source said: ‘Coleen is becoming obsessed with it.’
