Ivanka ignores critics and posts another picture of her sons sleeping soundly

Ivanka Trump looked to be in great spirits on Wednesday morning as she shrugged off her online critics by sharing a picture of her sons sleeping soundly in their beds, hours after a similar Instagram snap was mercilessly trolled.

The 37-year-old first daughter caught flack after she posted a picture on Monday night of her three-year-old son Theodore sleeping on a pile of pillows on the floor along with the caption: ‘We may need to bring the crib back…’

Her post sparked a slew of negative comments, with dozens of people comparing Ivanka’s kids to the young children separated from their parents at the border, and telling her to put her sons in ‘cages’ like them.

She appeared in high spirits ready to enjoy the D.C. sunchine

Comments included one person writing: ‘Meanwhile your dad refuses to reunite brown kids with their parents.’

Another upset commenter wrote, ‘Can you also get cribs for all the children you’re separating from their families at the border?’

But Ivanka has paid the critics no mind as she shared another sleeping picture of her two sons Joseph and Theodore on Tuesday evening.

‘No crib day #3: Brothers swapped beds!’ Ivanka wrote to her followers.

Both Theodore and his older brother Joseph, five, were passed out in their beds, but this time they swapped for the night. Ivanka placed a number of pillows on the ground between the beds in case Theodore decided to roll out of his bed again and sleep on the floor.

Unsurprisingly, the post prompted another round of harsh comments from Ivanka’s critics. But many of her most dedicated supporters took the opportunity to leap to her defense and praise the snap, including Marla Maples, her father’s second wife.

‘Just too precious,’ Marla, 55, commented on the snap.

Despite the kind words from Marla, she and Ivanka are thought to have never had an easy or warm relationship. Ivanka’s mother Ivana was married to Donald Trump when he started an affair with Marla, who he went on to marry after his first divorce.

Unbothered: Ivanka didn't address the critics who previously slammed a picture of her sons for sleeping on their floor. Critics wanted to know if her sons would enjoy sleeping in cages

Perhaps unsurprisingly, none of Ivana’s children are believed to have ever warmed to Marla, although all three appear to be close to her daughter, and their half-sister, Tiffany, who regularly joins her siblings at official White House events.

It has been business as usual, besides the negative criticism on Instagram, as Ivanka stepped out of her Washington, D.C. home on Wednesday morning with husband Jared Kushner, 38, standing by her side.

The couple was all smiles with Ivanka modeling a $69.90 ankle-length, cream-colored dress from Zara that featured short sleeves to match the spring weather in D.C.

Her dress had an added pop of color with mauve polka dots scattered across the fabric. She paired the look with nude suede heels and a brown tote bag.

For the hot weather, Ivanka opted to slick her long blonde hair back into a bun at the base of her neck to keep herself cool throughout the day.

Jewelry was kept simple for the first daughter as she wore what appeared to be pearl earrings.

Ivanka was all smiles as she walked to the car waiting outside her home with Jared, who wore a navy blue suit and matching tie for the day.

On Tuesday morning, Ivanka stepped out with a different man on her arm in the form of her five-year-old Joseph who was heading to school.

Ivanka looked like she was channeling a fashionable teacher in a green pussy-bow blouse and a black pencil skirt with a front slit, pairing the outfit with patent leather Mary Jane heels.

Her long blonde hair was poker straight and worn loose around her shoulders; she sported smokey eye makeup and a natural-looking pink lipstick.

The mother-of-three carried a $2,690 black tote bag by Loewe in one hand and helped guide Joseph to the Secret Service SUV parked outside of their home with the other.

The little boy had a camouflage backpack on his shoulders and was dressed casually in a Batman T-shirt, sweatpants, and sneakers as he made the short jaunt from their front gate to the vehicle.

It was an early start for Ivanka, who appeared to be enjoying some quality time with her eldest son before he went to school and she headed to work.

Just a half hour earlier, Jared was seen leaving their home in a navy blue suit and red tie, a look favored by his father-in-law, President Donald Trump.

Jared also had a smile on his face as he made his way to his Secret Service vehicle before heading to work.

The night before, Ivanka took to Instagram to share a darling photo of her three-year-old son, Theodore, sleeping on a pile of pillows on the floor next to his brother’s bed.

In addition to Ivanka sharing a number of sleeping pictures of her sons on Instagram, she also posted videos of her children making a red velvet crepe cake on Instagram Stories Monday.

‘Making Red Velvet Crepe Cake…’ she captioned a clip of herself pouring the batter in a pan.

After the crepes were done, her children helped her layer them with icing and a sprinkle of chopped nuts.

Another clip shows her seven-year-old daughter, Arabella, adding a crepe to the top of the pile when she notices the underside is burned ‘black.’

‘Don’t tell,’ Ivanka advises with a laugh.

In the final snapshot, the proud mom shows a picture of the crepe cake they enjoyed for breakfast. The layered confection is oozing with icing and topped with fresh raspberries.
