He’s a former professional footballer turned TV pundit.

And, Jamie Redknapp, 46, proved he’s still in great shape as the shirtless sports star practised his American football skills during a sun-drenched New Year’s Eve beach day in Miami.

The father-of-two showed off his super fit physique as he was spotted throwing a ball with his son Beau, 11, and taking a dip in the ocean.

Clad in a pair of vibrant blue checked swim shorts, Jamie showed off his gym honed abs as he strolled across the beach.

The former footballer shielded his eyes with a classic pair of shades and didn’t seem to be too concerned about tan lines as he kept a chunky watch strapped to his wrist. 

Jamie enjoyed some father-son time with his youngest child, Beau, while catching some rays. 

The sportsman – who shares Charles, 16, and Beau, with ex-wife Louise Redknapp, 45, Jamie – can frequently be seen with his boys playing football and all manner of sports on his Instagram stories. 

But in November, Louise told MailOnline that their sons have inherited her musical genes too.

‘The younger one is one of the best rappers I have ever heard!’ she gushed.

‘He won’t ever let me film him, but he can do any rap. There is not an Eminem lyric he doesn’t know!’

But Louise admitted their dad’s – and granddad Harry’s – passion for sports is the driving force when it comes to their kids.

‘I have football to compete with. And rugby. And cricket,’ admitted the Stretch singer.
