Jeff Lewis reveals he recently had an awkward run-in with former best friend and co-star Jenni Pulos

Former best friends and colleagues Jeff Lewis and Jenni Pulos infamously had a major falling out during the series finale of his hit Bravo show in 2018.

The pair stopped speaking after the brawl but the Flipping Out stars recently had an awkward run-in while out to dinner at the same restaurant in Encino, California.

Jeff, 50, dished on the uncomfortable encounter during his Sirius XM radio show on Tuesday saying that he tried to send drinks or dessert over to Jenni’s table but she turned them down.

Despite being out of each others lives for the last two years, it seems that the former pals still have a few things in common – like favorite restaurants.

Jeff and friend Liat Gerszt, who has previously appeared on the show, were grabbing a bite to eat at Larsen’s Steakhouse when Jenni and her husband Jonathan Nassos pulled up.

‘There was one point where Jonathan was standing by the front door, and he could totally, I know he could totally see us there,’ Jeff claimed.

Once the couple was seated at the restaurant, the interior designer recalled that he tried to send a sort of olive branch in the form of drinks or dessert at the suggestion of Liat’s husband Trevor.

‘We don’t know what happened. We told the manager that we wanted to send drinks. For whatever reason, that came back as they’re not drinking tonight,’ Jeff explained.

Adding: ‘So then Trevor, of course, is not gonna let that go. So we waited for dinner and then we tried to send them dessert. They’re not having dessert.’

Apparently when Jenni rebuffed the offer for dessert she told the waitress that she and her husband were ‘full.’

The radio host speculated that had the former Bravo stars spoken, there wouldn’t have been animosity or drama from his end.

He said: ‘Well, what’s interesting is that I would have been very friendly had I gone over to them. If they were closer to us, I probably would have gone over to them and said hello.’

Jeff and Jenny haven’t exchanged more than a few words in the last few years since their blow-out fight following Lewis firing her after a decade.

The argument that ended their friendship and working relationship aired in the finale of Flipping Out when Jenni was unceremoniously given the ax during an on-camera lunch that erupted into a huge fight.

At the time, Jenni insisted she never saw it coming after having co-starred with Jeff on Flipping Out for 11 seasons and serving as his assistant at his company Jeff Lewis Designs.

Back in January during an episode of Jeff Lewis Live the host revealed he had finally reached out to Jenni since they live in the same neighborhood and he knew he would ‘run into her someday.’

‘What I wrote to her is, “Hi, Happy New Year. I hope you and your family are happy and healthy. Would you be open to meeting with me sometime? I don’t feel good about what happened between us and I’m very sorry for my role in it,”‘ he explained at the time.

He went on to say that he hadn’t expected a response from his former assistant and she never did reply.

Meanwhile, on the same October episode where he discussed his run-in with Jenni, Jeff also revealed that his three-year-old daughter Monroe is having ‘behavior’ issues at school amid an ongoing custody battle with ex Gage Edward.

The reality star recalled picking up his daughter one day at school: ‘Out come the two administrators [without] Monroe and I’m like, “What the f***?” And they say, “Can we talk to you for a minute? … We’re very concerned about Monroe. We’re concerned about her behavior.”‘

Lewis said the school’s officials continued: ‘She’s been crying, she’s confused, she doesn’t know who’s picking her up … there’s been a little bit of a regression.’

Jeff was at the school with his ex Scott Anderson following a therapy session between the former couple to see if they could work things out.

‘I’m like, “Oh my God.” And then it’s just on my face — I’m concerned, I’m worried,’ he said. ‘They went back to get her and honestly if [Scott] wasn’t there, I probably would’ve started crying because I’m very, very worried about Monroe.’

His therapist had encouraged Jeff and Scott to ‘keep things light’ at home while they navigate new terrain.

‘There’s never a f***ing light day here. It’s dark every day,’ he said. ‘There’s no light day. There’s no light evening. There’s no light dinners. Nothing’s f***ing light.’

Lewis and Edward split in January 2019 after a nearly decade long relationship and have since publicly battled over Monroe’s situation in separate households.
