Jennifer Lopez tweets ‘let’s do it again soon’ after Matthew McConaughey gushes over working with her on The Wedding Planner
Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Lopez starred as romantic opposites in the 2001 romantic-comedy The Wedding Planner.
And the 50-year-old actor revealed that he ‘had a lot of fun’ working with Lopez in the Friday’s episode of his weekly series McConaughey Takes.
Soon after posting, Jennifer shared the black-and-white clip to her personal Twitter and wrote: ‘Let’s do it again soon’ with a winking emoji.

The pair’s virtual The Wedding Planner reunion began on Thursday when Jennifer shared a scene from the film to Twitter for #ThrowbackThursday and tagged her former co-star.
‘You are enough…,’ tweeted the On The Floor singer in reference to her famous line from the film.
Once Matthew saw the post, he quickly caused a fan frenzy by replying, ‘You are more than enough.’

According to Matthew in Friday’s episode of McConaughey Takes, when he was approached for the role of Dr. Steve Edison in The Wedding Planner, Lopez ‘was already cast [and] they were looking for the male lead.’
He continued: ‘I think we were coming up against a writers strike. So, what that means is the issue was trying to get as many movies made as quickly as possible… the industry needed content.’
Matthew noted that he ‘got paid real well’ for that role because ‘they really needed [him].’

In regards to starring opposite Jennifer, the Dazed and Confused star could not help but gush over the 50-year-old and labeled her a ‘quad threat.’
‘I’ve always called [Jennifer] a quad threat. What does she not do? That girl works her backside off on everything.’
When it came to nailing two-minute takes, Matthew emphasized that Jennifer would nail it every time.
‘She does not just show up and wing it at all. She’s like clockwork. Just hammers it and knocks it out.’

Aside from his pleasurable acting experience with Lopez, Matthew also revealed that The Wedding Planner was shot in Los Angeles.
‘Not many films are shot in LA. Which was a perk [of landing that role] because I was living in LA in a certain hotel at the time.’
