Joel McHale maintains proper social distancing at a farmers market in Los Angeles

Joel McHale stocked up on supplies Sunday during a trip to a farmers market in Los Angeles.

The 48-year-old Community host wasn’t taking any chances amid the coronavirus pandemic as he wore a mask and gloves during his interactions.

His outing came after he hosted an aftershow featuring many of the faces featured in Netflix‘s wildly popular Tiger King docuseries.

Joel was dressed casually for his outing in a simple blue T-shirt that showed off his thick biceps and a hint of his abs.

He paired it with olive cargo pants and white trainers, and he wore a midnight blue backwards baseball cap.

The former host of The Soup pulled out a set of black cloth gloves once he arrived at the market, and he had a navy blue cloth mask over his face during his interactions.

Joel also took care to keep himself at least six feet away from others, per recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti previously ordered anyone within the city to wear masks whenever going to public places where people will be present.

Though Joel was doing his best, not everyone appeared to be taking the safety advice seriously.

Still, it was a far cry from one of Joel’s farmers market trips from late March, when the place was packed at he skipped the mask and gloves.

The actor and comic even stopped to take a picture for a fan amid the commotion.

Joel had possibly his most high-profile project since the end of Community when he hosted a follow-up episode of Netflix’s Tiger King series.

The show, originally seven episodes, earned an astounding 5.3 billion streaming minutes, according to Nielsen.

The show seems to be a hit among people self-quarantining at home, and Joel’s episode alone had 4.6 million viewers when it premiered on April 12.

The documentary follows the exploits and downfall of Joseph Maldonado-Passage, a.k.a. Joe Exotic, one of the most prolific tiger breeders in the United States.

The unabashedly flamboyant animal lover ran his own zoo devoted to big cats, which infuriated animal rights activists due to its poor conditions.

The series takes a startling turn when Joe is arrested and later convicted of attempted murder for trying to pay an FBI agent to murder Carole Baskin, an animal rights activist and big cat rescuer.
