Jurgen Klopp has spoken of his delight at Liverpool‘s two new centre-back additions, in particular the unusual story of Ben Davies’ path to Anfield.
The scouting department looked all across Europe but Davies stood out and Klopp is excited to see how the left-field transfer works out.
When asked about Ozan Kabak and Davies, the German said: ‘Both have experience, yes Ozan is pretty young and Ben is slightly older with a different pathway but we don’t have to see a Hollywood movie to see these stories.

‘Yesterday at Preston, today at Liverpool, that is a good story already.’
Klopp, who was speaking ahead of Wednesday’s clash with Brighton, added that what both defenders had done in their career to date earned them the move to Liverpool, but they are expected to deliver more with expectations raised now.
He went on: ‘This is a great chance for us and them. We expect more, every player has to make the team better and that is what we expect with the two boys as well.’
