It is a hobby Charlotte shares with her late grandmother Princess Diana who loved dancing too.

As a child, Diana aspired to be a professional ballerina, but she was eventually deemed too tall. As an adult, she was also patron of the English National Ballet.

Kate has previously spoken out about her daughter’s love of dancing, mentioning it during a 2020 trip she took to Galway with her husband Prince William, 41.

She made the admission while being filmed on a walkabout and meeting members of the public on their final day in Ireland.

With hundreds of well-wishers lining the streets, the mother-of-three couldn’t help but stop and chat with one adorable youngster, four.

After asking the little girl her age, Kate questioned whether she was a fan of dancing.

She then said: ‘Charlotte likes dancing too.’

Crouching down to speak with the youngster, who appeared to be standing next to her mother, Kate asked: ‘How old are you going to be in May? You’re going to be five?

‘So you’re exactly the same age as Charlotte,’ she said.

A beaming Kate continued talking to the little one, asking: ‘Wow, do you like dancing?’, with the girl saying she did.

‘Charlotte likes dancing too,’ the proud royal revealed, before wishing the child a happy birthday for May.

It had previously been revealed that Princess Charlotte was taking weekly ballet lessons, just like older brother Prince George.

Charlotte started attending a dance school in south London in November 2018, sources told People.
