Lucky charms! Kate Middleton donned £13,250 gold and mother of pearl four leaf clover jewellery by luxury French brand Van Cleef & Arpels at the BAFTAs 2020

  • Kate, 38, donned jewellery by Van Cleef & Arpels at BAFTAs 2020 on Sunday
  • Duchess’ necklace retails at £7850 ($8950), while earrings cost £5400  ($6,200)
  • Brand is also loved by Camilla, who was spotted in them back in December 2019

The Duchess of Cambridge donned a pair of white mother-of-pearl and yellow gold style earrings and necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels as she joined A-list celebrities on the red carpet at the BAFTA Awards on Sunday.

Kate Middleton, 38, may have dazzled in a stunning white and gold gown by Alexander McQueen for the star-studded event, recycling a dress she first wore in 2012, but she added new jewellery to give the outfit an entirely new look.

The Duchess opted for the ‘Magic Alhambra earrings, 2 motifs’ earrings, £5400 ($6,200), and the ‘Magic Alhambra Necklace with Six Motifs,’ £7850 ($8950), for the 73rd annual EE British Academy Film Awards at the Royal Albert Hall.

Online, the production description reads: ‘The Magic Alhambra jewellery creations gather different-sized Alhambra motifs, coming together in a joyful dance.’

‘Inspired by the clover leaf, their asymmetric designs feature different associations of materials.’

The mother-of-three’s pieces are from the Magic Alhambra Collection, which was created in 2006.

The Alhambra motif is: ‘A symbol of harmony edged with golden pearls, it has established itself as a token of luck and signature of Van Cleef and Arpels.’

And Kate added yet another touch of glamour to her outfit by coordinating it with a new pair of shimmering £525 Jimmy Choo glitter heels and an Anya Hindmarch clutch bag.

And Kate isn’t the only royal who is a fan of the French luxury firm – as the Duchess of Cornwall has also been spotted wearing the Alhambra collection on several occasions.

Camilla, 72, dazzled in a pair of £38,500 earrings from the luxury label when she joined her husband, Prince Charles, 71, for a glittering black tie dinner in The Gambi in November 2018.

The Magic Alhambra Earrings featured three white gold four leaf clovers – a symbol of luck – set with a total of 158 individual pave diamonds and fastened on a delicate link chain.

She also accessorised with the luxury label when she stepped out with Charles for hotly anticipated World War One epic 1917 by director Sam Mendes, in December 2019.
