Keeping Up With The Kardashians: Tristan Thompson agrees to be sperm donor for ex Khloe Kardashian

Tristan Thompson told Khloé Kardashian he was ‘on board’ with being her future sperm donor on Thursday’s episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

In a videochat from her home, Khloé, 35, informed her ex that she had just undergone egg retrieval and gotten 12 eggs, adding that her doctor was ‘confident about five’ being strong.

‘I am thinking about doing a second round of egg retrieval, but this time making embryos,’ she continued, intimating that she would like Tristan to supply the sperm needed to do that.

The 29-year-old basketball player was more than eager to help, as he was the one who had initially raised the idea of them giving two-year-old daughter True a sibling.

‘I’m open to doing that and down to doing that,’ Tristan replied. ‘Whatever’s going to make you feel comfortable and also feel safest and everything like that, that’s what I’m on board with.’

Tristan’s respectful demeanor reassured Khloé, as she had worked hard to forge boundaries with him after True’s birth, and was still forgiving him for cheating on her during her pregnancy.

Khloé’s fertility doctor had told her that her egg potential was good, but offered that she’d stand a better chance of having a healthy child if she created embryos from those eggs first.

In a confessional, Khloé admitted she had ‘no idea what my future holds with Tristan and I, but I really feel a lot better knowing, ”Ok, I have five embryos in a freezer. If I want to use them, I have them there”.’

To Tristan, she said, ‘I’m in such a blessed position, and I just gotta look at the positive. I’m grateful for it. It isn’t ideal that I have to go through all those hormones and stuff again, but I feel like I handled it well last time.’

‘You might be uncomfortable but you don’t really show it, so I tip my hat to you on that,’ Tristan said. ‘I’m all on board, so however I can help. When I come out summertime, we can deal with it and go from there.’

Privately, Khloé reflected that she was a firm believer in ‘whatever’s meant to be, will be. And whatever God wants to happen will happen.’

‘Why are you taking photos of me?’ she asked Tristan as the conversation wound down. ‘You know that it tells me you do that, right?’

‘I did it on purpose,’ he said. ‘You looked good.’

Earlier in the episode, Khloé met with fertility specialist Andy Huang, MD, to freeze her eggs.

In an exam, she learned that her potential for creating new eggs was strong, but also that freezing and preparing embryos would be smarter than freezing eggs.

Unsure of how to proceed, Khloé began the hormone injections needed to produce eggs, as she told Kourtney Kardashian, 41, and Kendall Jenner, 22, after five days of the shots.

‘I have a lot of bruising under my belly button,’ she shared. ‘And then more…. It looks like track marks all over my stomach.’

She told them that the doctor saw ’14 to 16 eggs’ and would freeze the best ones, but that they wouldn’t be able to tell whether they had chromosomal damage like they could with embryos.

‘Dr. Huang was saying the bonus of doing embryos is you get to see which are stronger embryos, which are healthy…by mixing them with sperm,’ Khloé confessed.

‘I do have a sperm donor,’ she went on, as Kendall asked to see a photo and Khloé laughingly admitted it was Tristan.

‘After my doctor’s appointment, I talked to Tristan, because if you can create embryos and do all the DNA testing, I think that’s the smarter choice,’ she added in a confessional. ‘But it’s weird because Tristan and I, we’re not together. I don’t know which way to go.’

‘He has to sign legal paperwork that he would just be my sperm donor,’ she told her sisters. ‘But you never know, like, what in three years if I get married to someone, and I’m like, ”I don’t want that”.’

Kourtney noted that she had frozen her eggs, too, but had no sperm donor, to which Khloé cracked, ‘We could find you one at the bank.’

She later asked Kourtney and Kim whether they thought she should just make embryos of her eggs right away, and her sisters seemed unsure.

Khloé knew Tristan would be fine with whatever she decided, but she didn’t know what she wanted.

At her final doctor’s appointment, Khloé had fewer egg follicles than before, but her talk with her sisters had led her to decide to just freeze the eggs first, then figure out the rest.

‘Right now, Tristan and I, we’re in this strange, transitional period where we’re figuring out boundaries,’ she noted. ‘It’s just not the right time. But who knows? Maybe that could change one day.’

The season 18 episode, entitled Surprise, Surprise, also saw the Kardashian-Jenners celebrate the family’s many birthdays that occurred around Halloween.

In October and November, they blew out candles for Kim Kardashian, 39, Kris Jenner, 64, Kris’ partner Corey Gamble, 39, Caitlyn Jenner, 70, and Rob Kardashian’s daughter, Dream, three.

First up was Kendall Jenner’s 24th birthday, on November 3rd, which was marked by a costume party and attended by celebs like actor Jaden Smith, 21, and singer-songwriter Harry Hudson, 26.

‘I didn’t know any of this was happening,’ Kendall raved as her sister Kourtney posed in cowgirl gear in the background. ‘Kylie [Jenner, 22] did the whole thing.’

For Kris’ birthday, Kim rented out the home in which she’d been raised, and got her parents’ favorite restaurant, La Scala, to cater dinner there.

They would eat on the tennis court, and sit on cushions and under an umbrella made from the same pattern as the wallpaper in their old, beloved kitchen.

‘My mom has got to be the most sentimental person on the planet,’ Kim observed, recalling that it had been her mother’s favorite house, and it would be her ‘dream’ to see it again.

‘It’s a good thing you’re rich,’ her childhood friend Allison Statter told her as Kim described the event at a photo shoot for her SKIMS shapewear line.

When the day came, a small group of Kris’ family and friends met at the Beverly Hills Hotel to surprise her, and Kim handed out wallpaper-patterned invitations with the party’s real location.

Kris started crying when she read it, and was overcome when a pal pointed out the invite’s pattern, which Kim had commissioned an artist to draw for them.

Kim had also rented out a white Mercedes like the one Kris used to drive, and a version of the family’s old station wagon, putting their original license plates on them to complete the illusion.

She didn’t bring the KUWTK cameras to the home, saying that the family that lived there was ‘extremely private,’ and they were all going alone just to ‘soak up the memories.’

But Kim later shared how wild the experience was, adding that when she walked into Kris’ old closet, where she and her sisters once played dress-up, she ‘shut the door and started bawling.’

The next family party was for Dream’s third birthday, which Rob threw for his daughter.

Kim and Khloé had planned a party for Corey in Napa Valley, California, as his birthday was the same day, but they learned that Kylie was hosting a dinner for him that night.

They still proceeded with the Napa idea, and later had an assistant pack an unsuspecting Kris and Corey’s bags for them, decorating a private jet in Dallas Cowboy colors for megafan Corey.

Kim lured the couple to it by telling them her husband Kanye West, 42, wanted to buy her a plane.

‘Surprise!’ Kim cried out when they arrived, and spotted her, Khloé and Kourtney. ‘We’re taking you to Napa for your birthday!’

In Napa, the five of them rode a gondola up to winery, where they were offered the wine served at the Emmy Awards, and Kim joked, ‘We’ll try that next year when we’re nominated.’

Khloé spotted a nearby woman and complimented her on her beret, then dared her sisters and mom to compliment random strangers, too.

The last winery they visited was the one at which Khloé said Kris always got the drunkest, and her mom was soon ‘two sheets to the wind,’ she noted, as Kris laughed drunkenly behind her.

At the time, Kim was extremely busy, doing a perfume collaboration with her sisters for KKW Beauty, shooting a commercial with Jennifer Lopez, 50, and studying for law school.

She was also working to try and get a stay of execution for death-row prisoner Rodney Reed, 52, who had been convicted of a 1996 rape and murder on allegedly shaky evidence.

As the non-profit Innocence Project looked into whether he was actually guilty, Rodney sought to obtain a 30-day stay, and spoke to Kim by phone.

‘You know I read so many different stories and letters and yours just really jumped out at my heart,’ she said, vowing to use her contacts to help him and his family ‘out of this nightmare.’

In a call with her attorney, Erin Haney, Kim arranged to see Rodney just days before he was due to die, and was counseled to ‘make it as positive an experience as possible.’

When she landed in Houston for the visit, she learned that the Board of Paroles and Pardons had recommended a 120-day stay of execution, pending the governor’s approval.

And while she was meeting with Rodney, they heard that the courts had issued a stay of execution indefinitely. The case would either be thrown out or moved to a new trial.

After the visit, Kim and her team stopped by a McDonald’s drive-thru to get some food, and the attendant asked if they had ‘a famous person in the backseat.’

They agreed that they did, and promised to let the staff see her if they would give them free Oreo McFlurries.

‘Kim Kardashian!!’ the staff screamed as they pulled up to the window, taking selfies with her still in the car.
