Kevin Clifton shares a rare loved-up snap with girlfriend Stacey Dooley

They’ve been going strong since getting together in April last year.

And Kevin Clifton shared a rare loved-up Instagram snap of girlfriend Stacey Dooley as she paid him a visit on the set of his stage show The Wedding Singer on Thursday.

The Strictly Come Dancing star, 37, looked besotted as he swept the broadcaster, 32, into his arms while she smiled lovingly back at him.

The sweet backstage picture saw Kevin in a grey tracksuit and white trainers as he hugged his girlfriend of almost one year.

While Stacey wrapped up warm in an extra long brown furry coat which she wore with black leggings and casual black sandals. 

She piled her auburn tresses on top of her head and finished her look with gold hooped earrings.

Captioning the loved-up moment, Kevin wrote: ‘My girl came to me in The Wedding Singer last night.’ [sic]

And it isn’t just Stacey who supports her beau with his work.

Last month Kevin gushed over his girlfriend as she took to the stage to host the Strictly Live Tour in Birmingham. 

Sharing a snap of Stacey on stage, Kevin wrote: ‘So proud of @sjdooley hosting the @bbcstrictly live arena tour. Smashing it and nailing the aesthetics.’ 

Stacey and Kevin first embarked on a romance in April last year, and are said to have moved in with each other a month later.

The media personality settled into the dancer’s flat after leaving the home she shared with her former partner Sam Tucknott in Brighton.

Kevin and Stacey’s relationship was marred with controversy as she was in a five-year romance with personal trainer Sam, 30, when she joined the show.

When the pair split in March 2019, it was reported that he confronted Kevin about his relationship with Stacey in a furious FaceTime call.

He claimed he called Kevin a ‘snake’ and a ‘rat’ when he discovered flirty text messages sent to his ex after they separated.

Sam told the Mail On Sunday at the time: ‘He went white. I just stuck it on him, “You’re an absolute rat. How you conducted yourself. Just a slippery, slimy snake.” He didn’t say a word. He looked petrified. He looked so shocked.

‘I am so respectful of [Stacey], but I am gutted and I am disappointed and I feel so let down that she did not have the respect for me to tell me and just come clean.’
