Kristin Chenoweth channels Tiger King’s Carole Baskin in music video for parody song Little Pieces

Kristin Chenoweth had a very special treat for fans of Netflix‘s Tiger King on Wednesday.

The actress and Broadway star shared a link to a music video in which she performs a song called Little Pieces inspired by the hit docu-series.

Written by composer and lyricist Andrew Lippa, who is said to be working on a parody musical of Tiger King, the song tells the story from the perspective of Carole Baskin, who may or may not have fed her husband Don to a tiger.

Kristin told Broadway.com that she filmed the music video in her apartment with help from boyfriend Josh Bryant and using two lights and two iPhones.

She stressed she doesn’t want anyone to read too much into whether the parody song is coming down on one side or another of the debate about whether the founder of Big CatRescue bid ‘sayonara’ to her hubby with the help of a large feline.

‘I’m not a court of law,’ Kristin said. ‘I think you see some torment in there for Carole. She’s a cat lady who’s allergic to cats.’

At the start of the video, Kristin is seen wearing a leopard print jacket over an animal print sleeveless top and ripped blue jeans in the kitchen of her home.

Wearing colorful cat’s ears, she cozies up to a photo of Don with two big cats stuck on her refrigerator door and then is seen next to a doggie crate with a plush toy cat on the top.

The Tony Award winner then proceeds to get some raw chicken out of the fridge and begins cutting it up as she sings.

Next, having replaced  the ears with a silver sparkly headband and the jeans with a red sequin skirt, she dances around her kitchen with pieces of chicken skewered on the blade of a knife.

Next, she puts the chicken pieces in a blender and switches it on.

She then feeds the ground up chicken to the toy cat before retreating with the toy cat into the doggie crate.

Meanwhile, the real Carole Baskin, a big cat campaigner from Tampa, Florida, has eviscerated the makers of the Netflix series for suggesting she may have been involved in the disappearance of Jack ‘Don’ Lewis.

She has described Tiger King as being full of ‘lies and innuendos’ and skewed to be as salacious as possible to win viewers.

Tiger King tells the story of former zoo owner Joe Exotic, who is currently serving 22 years for 17 counts of animal abuse and a murder-for-hire plot in which he sought to have Baskin killed.
