Laura Dern and Adam Driver attend special screening of Marriage Story at Palm Springs Film Festival

They’ve been nominated for Golden Globes and SAG Awards for their performances in the drama Marriage Story.

And on Thursday, Laura Dern and Adam Driver were feted at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in California.

The pair attended a special screening of their film and participated in a Q&A ahead of the festival’s awards gala.

Dern and Driver were joined by their Marriage Story director Noam Baumbach who also wrote the screenplay for the movie about a couple going through a divorce.

Driver stars as the husband and Dern as the divorce attorney he hires as his marriage to his wife played by Scarlett Johansson breaks down.

The Netflix movie is up for six awards at the Golden Globes in LA on Sunday and is widely tipped for Academy Awards glory.

Dern, 52, made a simple fashion statement with an indigo denim dress featuring orange stitching.

The dress had buttons down the front and she left the top few unbuttoned for a more relaxed look.

The actress added a pair of black and white sneakers and wore her shoulder-length blonde hair in loose ringlets.

Driver, 36, went for a blue denim shirt over a white tee which he left untucked over black trousers worn with scruffy brown shoes. 

At the evening awards ceremony, Dern was set to be presented with the festival’s Career Achievement Award while Driver was slated to be given a Desert Palm Achievement Award.
