Liam Hemsworth shared a sweet tribute to his older brother Luke as he celebrated his 40th birthday on Thursday.

The 30-year-old actor posted a photo posing alongside Luke and their brother Chris to Instagram.

‘Happy 40th birthday Luke ! You’ve been a wonderful brother all these years,’ Liam captioned the post.

‘I’ve taught you well…the rest is up to u. Love ya Luke,’ he wrote.

In the photo, Liam smiled as he sat alongside Luke while Chris flipped the bird for the camera.

Luke also thanked his brother, commenting on the post: ‘Thanks Liam. You’ll always be the the little brother who’s best at crying! Love ya forever.’

Liam’s post comes after he shared a series of Instagram snaps which showed off his muscular form during a workout.

He gave fans a look at his training session with world-famous British adventurer and ultra-marathon sea swimmer Ross Edgley. 

The pair worked out in an outdoor gym, with rolling hills in the background, on what was a beautiful day.

Liam showed off his muscular build in a white singlet and pair of black shorts.

While a location was not tagged, it is believed Liam and Ross completed their Cross-Fit-inspired drill near the star’s home in Byron Bay.

‘Took it upon myself to teach @rossedgley how to train properly. With my help I see some real potential in him. Keep up the good work little guy,’ Liam teased in the caption.
