Love Island twins Jess and Eve Gale’s dad Brian jumps to their defence

Love Island twins Jess and Eve Gale’s father Brian has jumped to her defence following claims they had a ‘showdown’ before the latter was booted from the villa.

After the reports emerged, Brian took to Twitter to share the story and posted a picture of the twins as babies alongside the caption: ‘They’ve always been close.’

The twins were torn apart on Friday evening when Eve became the first Islander to be eliminated from the show after failing to recouple with any of the boys.

However according to the Daily Star, Jess and Eve had a discussion away from cameras about whether one would stay on without the other.

Brain appeared to rubbish the claims as he posted the sweet snap on his social media page, after admitting he was ‘extremely disappointed for Eve’.

He said: ‘Extremely disappointed for Eve as she leaves #LoveIsland. But over the moon to be able to see her this Sunday reunited with her mum.’

Eve became the first person to be dumped from the South African villa following a dramatic recoupling, which saw her twin sister recouple with Nas Majeed after he was forced to decide between the two.

Following the arrival of two male bombshells in the form of Connagh Howard and Finley Tapp earlier this week, the ladies had been battling it out to win their affections.  

After being comforted by their fellow islanders, the duo headed off alone, where they broke down in tears in each other’s arms.

In emotional scenes, Eve urged her sibling to continue in the villa after she had offered to leave with her, telling her: ‘You know I want you to try, I wouldn’t let you walk away with me.

‘I can’t hold you back.’

While Jess later said in the Beach Hut: ‘My whole experience is going to be different without her… I’ll be thinking about her the whole time.’

Earlier this week, Twitter erupted with hilarious reaction to their row, which saw the girls fight ahead of their recoupling – with their father once again defending them.

After X Factor star Jake Quickenden penned: ‘The twins ‘we never argue over a man’ the twins 10mins in ‘you’re doing my f**king head in I like that one’, Twitter user Brian hit back: ‘I have seen them have a bigger disagreement over a T shirt’.

The first ever winter series of Love Island kicked off on Sunday, with Laura Whitmore making her hosting debut as Caroline Flack’s replacement.

While Twitter erupted with reaction, their dad – who has been frequently shared articles about the pair – insisted the fight was minor.

In his hilarious response on the account The Sun report is their father’s, he insisted the girls have had much bigger fallouts than the row over the hunk.  

Elsewhere on his Twitter account, Brian also referenced resurfaced images of the girls when they were younger with red hair. He penned: ‘Love Island twins Eve and Jess look great with red hair as well as with blonde hair’.
