A man has been arrested after luxury car has been captured on video as it was engulfed in flames.
The car, believed to be a Porsche Cayenne S, was set alight shortly after midnight on Thursday night in a shopping centre car park on Hope Island at the northern end of the Gold Coast.
Firefighters were called to the scene to extinguish the flames.
A man, who 9News reports was known to police, was arrested and faced court on Friday.
‘Nope island strikes again,’ one local commented on Facebook.
‘This suburb is getting worse.’
