A Florida couple who have married for 60 years were forced to spend months apart due to the coronavirus pandemic — and a camera was rolling when they finally reunited for a hug after 215 days.
Joseph and Eve Loreth, both 80, live at the Rosecastle at Delaney Creek assisted living facility, but were separated for seven months because Joseph has had to spend time in the hospital.
Recently, though, the facility’s ‘resident love birds’ got to see each other again, and tears were shed as they embraced at the emotional meeting.

So when Joseph finally came home, he and Eve were overcome with emotion to see each other again.
In video shared by Rosecastle’s Facebook page, an employee is seen pushing Joseph in a wheelchair through a building.
When he is wheeled up to Eve, her jaw drops and she exclaims ‘oh my God’ several times before getting up to hug him.

Joe, meanwhile, starts to tear up. She puts her arms around him, and the two stand for a few moments to cry together.
‘I didn’t think I would ever get over here. I missed you so much,’ he says.
‘I missed you,’ she answers.
‘Oh you’re alright. I love you so much,’ he says. ‘For sixty years. I’ve done something right.’
Joseph told Fox 13 that they met when they were just 16.

‘They’re kind of just the ones that enjoy each other’s company,’ said Clary Abreu, who helped the couple move into Rosecastle at Delaney Creek Assisted Living Facility
‘I went roller-skating one night, and that’s where she caught up with me,’ he said. ‘She wouldn’t leave me be, she’s still chasing me around.’
They’ve now been married 60 years and 10 months and have five children and more than a dozen grandkids.
‘They’re kind of just the ones that enjoy each other’s company,’ said Clary Abreu, who helped the couple move into Rosecastle at Delaney Creek Assisted Living Facility. ‘It could be in complete silence and you can feel how happy they are just to be with one another.’
