Manchester United ‘QUIT the European Club Association with Ed Woodward resigning from his senior UEFA role’ after the Red Devils joined 11 other clubs in announcing plans to create a European Super League
Manchester United joined Juventus in resigning from the European Club Association, with Red Devils chief executive Ed Woodward also quitting his senior role at UEFA, according to reports.
On Sunday night, 12 European clubs stunned the football world by announcing a breakaway European Super League that would replace their involvements in the Champions League.
United, along with fellow English sides Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham, were one of the dozen clubs who went against the ECA’s desire not to pursue the breakaway league.

United CEO Ed Woodward has also reportedly quit his role on UEFA’s Strategy Council
And according to the Manchester Evening News, United have now quit the organisation representing the 246 leading clubs across Europe, with Woodward leaving his role on UEFA’s Professional Football Strategy Council.
