A woman has been arrested for attempted murder after one man was mowed down by a car and another one stabbed nearby in broad daylight.
Police were called to the scene in Acton, London, shortly before 1pm today after the pedestrian was critically injured.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: ‘Police were called at around 1250hrs on Sunday, 22 March, to a car in collision with a man in Salisbury Street, Acton.
‘The pedestrian was critically injured; we await a further assessment of his condition.

‘Shortly after the collision, the female driver of the vehicle stabbed another man nearby.
‘His injuries are not believed to be serious.
‘Officers attended and arrested the woman on suspicion of attempted murder. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.’
