Ohio State tight ends coach Keenan Bailey was carjacked at gunpoint during a recruiting trip in Cleveland, according to a new report.

Bailey, who has worked with the school since 2016, was in the city on Monday.

And according to Cleveland.com, the coach was carjacked by four youths aged 15 to 18 while his Dodge Durango was in the parking lot of Ginn Academy.

The suspects were arrested after a police chase that reportedly involved a helicopter.

Police said the group also attempted to carjack a group of women afterwards, but they drove away.

A team spokesperson told Cleveland.com that he has resumed recruiting. 

Bailey previously served as Ohio State’s senior advisor to the head coach and was a quality control coach on offense before that.

The Buckeyes don’t play again until December 29 after missing out on the College Football Playoff.

They’ll face Missouri in the Cotton Bowl.
