An orphaned joey named Trevor loves going on car rides and eagerly watching the world go by through the window.

Angela Rodda adopted the one-year-old eastern grey seven months ago after he was orphaned, and now takes him on family outings.

Footage posted online shows Trevor lapping up a car trip through Brisbane by poking his head out of the open window to feel the breeze on his face.

Sitting in his owner’s arms, he gazes out of the vehicle with one arm resting on the exterior of the car door.

As they whiz past landmarks he finds fascinating, he props himself up further in the window frame to get a better look.

Trevor, who will grow to be 6ft tall, lives on a property with 60 cattle, seven horses, three cats and an American Staffy.

Ms Rodda said he only hopped in the car if he is called by his name and ‘hops about the house, paddock, and anywhere he can’.

‘He swims regularly with us, helps out with mustering, circling the cattle with the horses, and comes on all our fishing adventures’ she said.

But going on car rides is one of his favourite things. ‘He loves to ride in the car wind in his fur, she said.
