Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 Lille: Mauricio Pochettino’s side book spot in French Cup quarter finals as Kylian Mbappe nets twice after Mauro Icardi opens the scoring against Ligue 1 title rivals

Kylian Mbappe and Mauro Icardi were on the scoresheet as Paris Saint-Germain progressed to the French Cup quarter-finals with a 3-0 victory over Lille.

Argentine striker Icardi gave the French giants the perfect start in the ninth minute against the team who surprisingly sit top of Ligue 1.

And Mbappe doubled PSG’s lead from the penalty spot in the 41st minute leaving Lille with it all to do.

The visitors desperately pushed for a way back into the game and had a penalty of their own in the 78th minute after a handball, but Keylor Navas was on hand to deny Lille.

And Mbappe then punished Lille by scoring his second of the evening and PSG’s third in the third minute of injury time.
