‘Even Barbie would hate it!’ Social media users mock woman’s garish pink and white diamond ring and say it’s ‘trying too hard to be different’

A woman has been mocked online after she shared a photo of her unusual pink diamond ring.
The anonymous woman, from the US, shared her ring on the That’s It, I’m Ring Shaming Facebook group, saying she had ‘thick skin’ and inviting people to critique the jewellery.
The ring, a sparkly square number with white and pink gems, was certainly not to everyone’s taste – with some critics saying it was so pink and flashy even Barbie would hate it.

The ring is made up of two interlocking bands that form a square in the middle.
The centrepiece is a large round diamond and there are smaller white and pink diamonds on the two bands.
‘Alright I’m ready…I got thick skin,’ the woman said, inviting others to weigh in on the ring.
People were not convinced by the novel design of her jewelry, and some said it was the worst ring they’d ever seen.
People made fun of the ring, saying it looked like something Barbie would hate and that they’d be embarrassed if it was theirs
‘If this is your taste, please never invite me to dinner,’ one said.
‘Omg that’s f****** GORGEOUS!! … You know… in a hideous way,’ another said.
‘I want to spray it with water like I do my cats when they do something terrible. That’s how bad this ring is,’ another wrote.
A fourth added: ‘This looks like a ring Ken would get Barbie but she secretly hates it and Barbie doesn’t hate anything.’
