The first adults-only resort and casino is due to open in Las Vegas on October 28 – and pictures and renderings show the incredible features visitors over 21 years old can look forward to.

Called the Circa Resort and Casino, the 1.25million-square-foot 480ft-high property will boast the world’s biggest sportsbook (betting shop), a gigantic, jaw-dropping swimming pool with a big screen, and 777 rooms and suites in a 71-degree tapered tower.

It will be located on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas and promises to ‘pay homage to Las Vegas’ history’ by ‘fusing vintage Vegas with modern luxuries and cutting-edge technology’.

The incredible fifth-floor rooftop pool area, which is described as a ‘pool amphitheater’, will operate 365 days a year and will have a 14-million-pixel, 134ft x 41ft screen presiding over it.

Guests will be able to watch sports and televised events from six temperature-controlled pools on different levels and two spas, or book a private cabana.

There will be 337 lounge chairs, 30 cabanas and 38 daybeds and a capacity for up to 4,000 people.

Inside, the three-storey ‘stadium-style’ sportsbook will have a 78-million-pixel high-definition screen – more than any other in Las Vegas – which the resort says will be viewable throughout its two-storey casino and able to host up to 1,000 guests.

It will be operated by betting venture Circa Sports and the third floor will have a dedicated broadcast studio for Vegas Stats and Information Network (VSiN).

The casino itself will feature 1,350 slot machines and 49 table games.

The resort will also house the famous neon-kicking cowgirl sign, Vegas Vickie, in its lobby.

The sign first appeared in downtown Las Vegas in 1980 and the resort says her return will come after a ‘much-needed makeover’.

There will also be several on-site restaurants, including delicatessen fare from Saginaw’s Delicatessen by Paul Saginaw.

Premium steaks and seafood will be on offer at Barry’s Downtown Prime from Chef Barry S. Dakake, Carolina barbecue will be served at Project BBQ and an ‘all-star menu’ will be available at Victory Burger & Wings Co.

In addition, Circa says it will have the first ‘fully integrated ride-share hub’, called Garage Mahal, with ‘high-tech design and thoughtful features making it the most convenient parking and transportation venue in the city’.

It says: ‘Clean and well-lit with an emphasis on service and safety, Garage Mahal will contain stunning art installations, a seamless Uber and Lyft experience; a quick in-and-out format for drivers; and an air-conditioned bridge connector to the resort.’

October 28 will see the first five floors of amenities and parking hub open, two months ahead of schedule.

The resort tweeted recently: ‘Once, Las Vegas held a certain mystique as this fabulous place where only grown-ups could play. Call us old-fashioned, but we think adults need some of that mystique back in their lives.’

Developer and CEO of the resort, Derek Stevens, said: ‘Sometimes life throws you curveballs, and 2020 has been an unpredictable year for the entire world.

‘However, thanks to the creativity and ingenuity from our partners at McCarthy Building Companies Inc. and Tré Builders, we can move forward on this accelerated path and have an opening unlike Las Vegas has experienced.

‘We are excited to see what the future holds and to give visitors and locals something to celebrate.’

Writer, podcaster and Vegas expert Michael Trager told MailOnline Travel that he is very excited about the new opening.

He said: ‘Circa Las Vegas will be the most refreshing thing to happen in Vegas in a long time. And, I’m not talking about the fantastic pool or cutting-edge sportsbook.

‘I’m talking about how Circa is bringing back the hospitality that Vegas is known for. Circa is a resort, where the owner “gets it” and wants to interact directly with his customers. Heck, Derek Stevens can often be found at the end of the Long Bar at TheD Las Vegas [which he co-owns]. What other casino company CEO puts himself front and center?

‘Vegas was always known for hospitality. Any company can build shiny hotel towers, but it takes a special kind of dedication to truly listen to your customers. Also, while many Strip properties have been devaluing the experience, Circa seems poised to provide a better gamble (better odds) and equivalent amenities to the best strip properties but with a better value proposition for the customer.

‘This value prop is especially true for the customers who gamble and receive comps. Put this all together, and there is a lot to get excited about with regard to the opening later this year.

‘It will be the first 21-plus (adults only) resort in Las Vegas. What happens in Vegas won’t be happening with any screaming kids or strollers spoiling your adult fun.’
