An overly-excited pitbull finally got to meet the new kitten that had been hiding in the bathroom for two weeks.
However it made such extraordinary noises upon seeing the kitten, it was hard to understand if the dog was feeling excited, scared or even aggressive.
A video of the three-year-old pitbull’s reaction was uploaded online by his owner, Kylie Alexis, on October 30 and has over four million views.
The video was shared on TikTok with the caption: ‘When your dog finally gets to see the kitten you’ve been hiding in the bathroom for two weeks.’
In the 17-second clip, the pitbull is held and petted by his owner as it makes a strange, blubbering, wimpering sound, and attempts to approach the kitten.
The kitten sits on a couch, observing the pitbull, looking nonplussed.
People watching the video also had difficulty understanding why the pitbull was making the strange noise.
Kylie Alexis, the owner, claims that the noise coming from her dog was because he was ‘really excited’ to see the new kitten.
‘He grew up with cats he wasn’t stressed, just really excited,’ she wrote.
‘He does that for food and to go to the potty and literally everything.’

The owner explained the reason they were separated for two weeks was because the kitten had been rescued from ‘the side of the road’ and needed to see a vet before being slowly introduced to the dog.
A woman called Rhiannon in the comment section wrote that she didn’t like the pitbull’s reaction to the kitten and called them a ‘bully breed’.
Kylie clapped back, writing: ‘Him being a bully breed doesn’t have anything to do with it.
‘They’re loose all the time together. He was just excited to finally see him.’

However, others saw the lighter side with one person writing: ‘Ma’am your dog is broken.’
Some people joked that he sounded like he was ‘underwater’ or ‘blowing bubbles in his milk through a straw’.
Two other pitbull owners recounted similar reactions from their ‘vocal’ dogs.
One wrote: ‘My pitt[bull] has done this when her dad came home from deployment, sometimes these noises are just out of excitement or overwhelming feelings.’
Another described the moment her dog met her newborn baby for the first time, saying: ‘That’s the same reaction my female pittie had when she finally got to meet the baby I had been hiding in my belly for nine months.’
Kylie said the video of the introduction was filmed weeks ago and the pair are together all the time now.
