An image of a cross-eyed man wanted by police has sent internet users into a frenzy after his photo began circulating on social media.
David Micallef is currently wanted on an outstanding warrant by Victoria Police.
On Monday, police began appealing for public assistance to help locate Mr Micallef, posting his photo to the Greater Dandenong Police Service Area page on Facebook.
It didn’t take long for social media users to poke fun at the wanted man in the comments.

‘I don’t know where to look,’ one person wrote.
‘Should have gone to Specsavers’, joked another.
‘David hasn’t even seen David’, added a third.
‘No wonder the police can’t catch him, he can see them coming from all angles.’

Earlier this year another fugitive wanted by Victoria Police sent the internet into a frenzy after his picture was shared on social media in January.
Jess Mabilia, 28, had an outstanding warrant for contravening court orders, but his dozens of female admirers were prepared to look past that.
‘I hope I find him on tinder before police authorities find him’, one woman wrote.
‘He could come and hide out at my place’, another joked.
One even compared Mabilia to Hollywood heartthrob singer John Meyer.
