Two New South Wales police officers have become a viral sensation online after showing off their wild dance moves at an Eid party while on duty.

The officers were called to the recent late night celebrations in Sydney after receiving reports of noise complaints from disgruntled neighbours.

The two officers instead ended up joining in the fun and dancing with at least three other guests in a heartwarming display of unity which later went viral on TikTok.

Footage shows a male and female officer donning tactical vests letting their hair down as Middle Eastern music blared in the background.

The male officer appears delighted at the chance to show off his groovy moves as he joyfully waves his hands in the air.

A guest is then seen dragging the officer’s blonde colleague into the festivities and linking arms with her as the pair danced.

The video has since gone viral on TikTok with more than 280,000 views and more than 1,200 comments within a week.

‘Came due to noise complaints, ended up Arab,’ the woman captioned the footage.

Viewers were full of praise for the officers and described their response to the job as an outstanding example of community policing.

‘I actually love this. We never see police in this type of vibe,’ one woman wrote.

Another viewer added: ‘Great to see at the end they are human like us doing a job.’

Hundreds of thousands of Australians Muslims celebrated the end of Ramadan this week.

During Ramadan, Muslims fast during daylight hours and use the month as a period of introspection and communal prayer.

More than 604,000 Australians are Muslims and represent at least 2.6 per cent of the nation’s population, according to the 2016 census.
