A sneaky possum has been caught breaking into a home after becoming trapped inside a fish tank.
A shocked couple called animal catchers on Sunday after discovering the marsupial in their empty indoor aquarium, despite the lid being closed.
Bizarre video shows the stunned creature running back and forth across the length of the rectangular tank, which is built into the wall.
‘This is really weird. This is wacky,’ a woman says on the phone to a friend as the pair watch the possum swim behind the glass.

The possum runs around for a few more moments before climbing up inside the interior roof and out of sight.
‘There is no way he can get in the house is there?’ the couple ask over the phone as the disappears.
‘Yeah it’s a Possum-fish. Only found in Australian waters,’ one viewer wrote.
‘It’s the possum of the sea,’ another added.
‘This is completely normal, it is the stage of life where possums transform into platipi,’ a third said.
