PSG ‘losing patience in talks with Kylian Mbappe and could let him go for between £100m and £130m’

PSG ‘are losing patience in contract talks with Kylian Mbappe and are willing to let him go for between £100m and £130m this summer’… meaning the club could take a loss on their star forward, who would be CHEAPER than Erling Haaland

  • PSG could be ready to part ways with star forward Kylian Mbappe this summer
  • The club are growing frustrated with attempts to renew his deal, reports claim
  • The French outfit could opt to cash in on him for between £100m and £130m
  • It would mean PSG would take a loss on the £150m they paid for him in 2017
  • The price tag also makes him a cheaper forward option than Erling Haaland

PSG are ‘growing impatient’ with attempts to renew Kylian Mbappe‘s contract and could be ready to cash in on their star forward, according to reports.

The World Cup winner, seen as one of the greatest talents in world football, has just one year left remaining on his contract with the French giants – who are desperate to tie the 22-year-old down after watching him rise to the top of the game.

But last year’s Champions League finalists have now been put into an ‘uncomfortable situation’ after a lack of progress on talks with the Frenchman and could now be ready to cash in on him this summer for a modest fee of between £102million and £127million, as reported by Le Parisien.

PSG would be taking a significant hit on Mbappe – linked with Liverpool and Real Madrid, having paid £150m for him to sign from Monaco back in 2017, when he was just a teenager, but club chiefs and boss Mauricio Pochettino will be wary that they could be in danger of losing him for nothing next season.

Should Mbappe carry that price tag this summer, it would make him a cheaper option than the highly coveted Dortmund forward Erling Haaland – who is one of the hottest properties in Europe and is being pursued by a number of top clubs.

This week the Norwegian starlet’s father met with both Barcelona and their rivals Real Madrid, with reports he is also set to fly to England to speak with the likes of Manchester City, United, Chelsea and Liverpool over a possible move.

Dortmund have slapped a £154m price tag on the 20-year-old, but PSG could trigger a transfer scrap among the top clubs and shift the focus to Mbappe if they do decide to sell the pacy forward at a cut-price rate.

Mbappe poured doubt over his future, admiting he was ‘tired’ of constant criticism from the French press. His poor recent form has led to him being dropped from the France squad.

‘Of course it is tiring,’ Mbappe told RTL of the criticism he receives from the French media. ‘Especially when your play for a club in your country, when you give everything from your national team. At a certain moment, it tires you out, yes.

‘It is different for the players who play abroad, who only come back to France for the national team.

‘Me, I am here all the time, so I am spoken about a lot more. But I was aware of this context when signing for PSG.

‘We will see for the future. Of course that (critics) plays a part too. Aside from that, it is not just that. The most important thing, is to feel good where you are and enjoy yourself every day.’
