Queen Mathilde Of Belgium put on a stylish display today as she welcomed prominent NATO and SHAPE officials to a New Year’s reception. 

The royal ,46, was joined her husband King Philipp, 59, in welcoming The North Atlantic Treaty Organization and Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, at the Royal Palace In Brussels, Belgium.

Guests included NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, Belgian Foreign Minister Philippe Goffin and the UK’s ambassador to NATO Sarah MacIntosh. 

The Queen looked typically polished in a white silk blouse with peplum cuffs paired with a midi-length tea cup skirt which was patterned with monochrome stripes.

Her hair remained loose while the royal opted for a natural make-up look, subtly highlighting her warm complexion with a peach toned blush.

She teamed her look with a pair of statement teardrop earrings, boasting huge pearl, paired with a matching dark ring, gold loose bracelet and a matching gold watch.

The royal wore suede court heels while her husband dressed to impress in a sophisticated pinstriped suit paired with a white dress shirt and an orange, spotted tie.

The Queen was seen smiling on as her husband shook hands hands with UK ambassador MacIntosh. 

This comes after they greeted the EU dignitaries for a reception last week, such as EU Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen and the President of the European Parliament David-Maria Sassoli. 

It’s been a busy time for the royal couple, who share four children, Princess Elisabeth, 18, Princess Eléonore, 11, Prince Gabriel, 16, and Prince Emmanuel,14.

Earlier this week they also welcomed heads of foreign diplomatic missions into the Royal Palace, such as  the ambassador of Morocco, Mohammed Ameur, and his spouse, alongside the ambassador of Germany, Martin Kotthaus.
