Red Rooster fan steals a headset from drive-thru staff before he takes orders from customers – but then he’s arrested by police

A man has shared wild video footage from the moment he stole a Red Rooster headset and started taking incredibly inappropriate fast food orders.
Dion Tumata said he would snatch the headset sitting on the counter at the fast food store in Mount Gravatt, south of Brisbane, if his friends screenshot his Snapchat story ten times.
Mr Tumata stuck to his word and later filmed himself sitting in his car with the device secured around his head.
But his silly prank quickly caught the attention of Queensland Police, who accused him of stealing and ordered him to attend court.

The incident happened in 2018 but the wild series of events has recently surfaced as a compilation video on TikTok.
The video, shared by TikTok user notbehd450, begins with vision of the headset sitting on the counter, before Mr Tumata pretends to work as a Red Rooster drive-through operator from inside his vehicke.
‘That is two cum shorts and a large horse semen. Thank you. Drive on to the next window,’ he says into the headset.
The TikTok video concludes with a shot of a Queensland Police car and an image of Mr Tumata’s Notice To Appear sheet.
The notice said he was accused of stealing at Red Rooster Mount Gravatt at about 1.40pm on March 15, 2018.
Mr Tumata told Daily Mail Australia he had stopped at the Red Rooster restaurant on his way to work.
‘My cousin who works with me spotted the headset on the counter,’ he explained.
‘We began commenting how funny it would be talking to customers in the drive-through.

‘My cousin then goes ah f*** it and grabs them and chucks the headset to me.
‘We quickly walk outside and jump in the work truck and begin talking to team members and customers.’
The pair went to work but returned to the Red Rooster afterwards – where they continued to chat via the headset.
‘Team members began walking outside looking for us so we tried to look the least suspicious we could,’ Mr Tumata said.
Mr Tumata and his cousin Jonah, who were living together at the time, were then visited by police at home.
They were tracked down through CCTV, which showed Jonah dressed in his work shirt.
The prank quickly caught the attention of Queensland Police, who accused him of stealing and ordered him to attend court
Mr Tumata said they were both written up for theft and were forced to attend court, where they were each fined $200.
‘The judge read out the report and immediately the whole court room burst into laughter,’ he said.
‘My cousin and I held it in and because the judge thought we were being serious he only gave us a $200 fine each no conviction.’
A Holland Park Magistrates Court spokeswoman confirmed Mr Tumata was fined over the incident and no convictions were recorded.
The TikTok video has been viewed more than 60,000 times.
‘Seems a tad harsh… That was pretty funny tbh,’ one comment read.
‘The police there really don’t have a sense of humour,’ another said.
