And Killing Eve fans got a special Valentine’s Day treat on Friday when BBC America series posted a short teaser trailer for its upcoming season three.
It super short clip didn’t feature any footage from the new season, but its stars Sandra Oh, 48, and Jodie Comer, 26, both made brief appearances in closeup.

The abstract teaser was scored to the Hallelujah Chorus from George Frideric Handel Messiah, and it certainly gave fans of the critically acclaimed series plenty to rejoice about.
It opened with Jodie as Villanelle, the psychopathic assassin who animates Killing Eve.
She suggestively yet delicately strokes a screen of sheer red fabric that flutters in the breeze as the joyous music plays.

Sandra plays the eponymous Eve on the series, who initially works for the UK’s domestic counter-intelligence agency MI5, until she’s fired and then rehired by the foreign intelligence agency MI6.
Her specialty and obsession is with assassins, and she becomes engaged in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with Oksana Astankova (Comer), who goes by the code name Villanelle.
After the events of season two, Villanelle is out of a job and believes her pursuer to be dead, while Eve is actually working a series of odd jobs to stay under the radar.
But a death that’s personal to both of them will set them on another potentially disastrous collision course.

New stills from the upcoming season give a taste of how Villanelle and Eve are keeping busy while out of jobs.
Villanelle is pictured in one photo wearing a comical clown getup as if she were entertaining at a child’s birthday party, while Eve slices away at a mound of meat while working in a restaurant’s kitchen in another image.
Other pictures show the two in more natural outfits. Jodie stuns as Villanelle in a lovely royal blue dress adorned with colorful floral patterns, while Eve wears her trusty olive jacket as she walks in the countryside.
The new stills also promise the return of Fiona Shaw, who won the Best Supporting Actress award at the British Academy Television Awards, as Carolyn Martens, who leads the Russian division of MI6.

The series has been the most high-profile work Sandra has done since departing Gray’s Anatomy, and it turned Jodie into a household name.
Sandra made history at the 2019 Golden Globes, when she became the first Asian person to host the ceremony, the first Asian woman in 39 years to win the Best Actress in a TV Drama award, and the first Asian woman to win multiple Golden Globes, after winning her first in 2006 for Gray’s Anatomy.
Both actresses were for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series at the 2019 Primetime Emmys, but Jodie won this time around.
