Odion Ighalo agrees to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab from Shanghai Shenhua after loan spell at Manchester United comes to an end

  • It comes days after the Nigerian striker’s loan spell at Man United came to an end
  • Moves to the Premier League, MLS and Dubai were on the cards for Ighalo 

Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab have agreed to sign former Manchester United loanee Odion Ighalo from Shanghai Shenhua.

The Nigerian striker has been linked with moves to Dubai, the Premier League and the MLS but a move to the Middle East has now been agreed.

The 31-year-old scored five goals across 23 appearances in all competitions for United and provided a low-cost, low-risk option up front but was phased out following the signing of Edinson Cavani.
