Heartwarming moment stolen purebred puppies are reunited with their devastated mother and owner after pet detectives spring into action to track down the alleged thief

Stolen puppies have been reunited with their desperate mother after pet detectives helped track down the missing canines and nab their alleged thief. 

The four-week-old puppies were taken from Jeni Mery’s home at Elanora on the Gold Coast on Friday night. 

Thieves used a crowbar to open her screen door and remove the dogs from her living room. 

The four purebred Cavoodles were missing for several days sparking a frenzied hunt on social media  

Ms Mery said she was devastated to discover they had been torn away from their mother.

‘PUPPIES IN EXTREME DANGER. PLEASE HELP ME.. On Friday night sometime before midnight 4 very young puppies were stolen from me on the Goldcoast,’ she wrote on Facebook.

‘They will not survive without their mother. Please help me find and retrieve her precious puppies.’ 

Ms Mery said she would not involve police if the tiny puppies were returned to her immediately.

Pet detectives who operate the ‘Missing and Stolen Pets Australia’ Facebook page came to her assistance and began spreading the word.

They shared the story and passed on leads to investigators at Burleigh Heads who eventually rescued the pups.

Queensland Police told Daily Mail Australia they were able to locate the puppies on Monday night.  

‘Police were informed yesterday from an anonymous source about the stolen puppies,’ they said in a statement.

‘They were located safe and well in a unit at Arundel at 5.30pm.

‘Officers checked on the puppies again today and they are thriving and feeding well.

‘Mum are Dad are understandably very protective parents at the moment.’

A 47-year-old Palm Beach man has been charged with burglary and commit an indictable offence.

Footage on the Missing and Stolen Pets Australia’ shows the pet-owner reuniting with the puppies after days apart. 

Ms Mery can be seen with a huge smile on her face sa the four pooches are handed back unharmed at the Animal Emergency Centre Gold Coast.

She says in the video she is ‘so relieved’ to ‘get her babies back’.

Ms Mery shared a similar sentiment on Facebook.

‘The biggest love and THANKYOU belongs to Kirrily Cull the greatest pet detective in the world!!!! Thank you for bringing my babies home with your relentless efforts! None of this was possible without you!’ she wrote.

The dogs bound up to the box with tails wagging as they discover their four babies are back home.
