A jilted wife is selling an expensive pair of earrings in an amusing advertisement after her cheating husband’s secret girlfriend mailed them to her.

The woman, from Sydney, put the Tiffany & Co. earrings up for sale in a buy, swap and sell Facebook group for $200 after her unfaithful spouse purchased the jewellery as a Christmas gift for his mistress.

And so she was filled with shock and confusion when she opened the parcel to find the regifted earrings after the other woman had the audacity to send them to her along with a note.

‘It was quite the surprise when they were posted to me, with a darling little note explaining that they would look much better on me. Well, duh. Nice one Captain Obvious,’ the seller wrote in a Facebook group.

‘As much as a lovely gesture it was from the woman who made my life hell, I have no desire to insert anything into any of my holes that have also been in hers.’

In her cheeky ad, the woman ‘highly advised’ the potential buyer should carry out a ‘decent disinfect’ if they choose to buy the earrings.

‘I’m sure chlamydia of the ear piercing isn’t a thing… so you should be safe,’ she said but suggested the earrings should be cleaned as a precaution.

The seller added the buyer would be getting a half-price deal on the jewellery.

‘After a careful scouring of my husband’s bank accounts, I can confirm they were purchased in November and valued at $400 so you are getting quite the bargain,’ she said.

‘Pick up [Sydney suburb]. Bring wine too.’

Her post was met with dozens of positive messages, with many applauding the wife for sharing one of the best sales pitches they have seen.
