Woman ‘caught drink driving SEVEN times over the limit’ after swerving across lanes until she hit a gutter and a truckie blocked her from moving

  • The driver, a 53-year-old woman, was blocked from leaving by a tow-truck driver 
  • She recorded a 0.342 blood alcohol reading, which is seven times over the limit

A woman has been busted drink-driving in Sydney’s southwest while seven times over the legal limit.

Witnesses called police after a sedan was seen swerving across traffic lanes on Henry Lawson Drive in Padstow shortly before 7pm on Tuesday.

Police say when her car hit a gutter, a tow-truck operator moved his truck to prevent her leaving.

The 53-year-old woman was arrested and underwent a breath analysis at Bankstown Police Station, where she allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.342.

The woman from Padstow Heights has been charged with high-range drink-driving and will appear in Bankstown Local Court on April 1.

Her licence has been suspended and confiscated.
