US fast food chain Taco Bell is set to open its first restaurant in central Sydney – complete with a music booth, a Mexican-inspired menu and free drink refills.
Diners will be treated to a Taco Tuesday like no other at the opening day of the Green Store store, just four kilometres south of Sydney’s CBD, on May 4.
Famous for its bargain yet delicious Mexican-inspired foods, customers can enjoy global favourites like the Crunchwrap Supreme, Cheesy Gordita Crunch, Grilled Stuft Burrito and Crunchy Taco Supreme.

Famous for its bargain yet delicious Mexican-inspired foods, customers can enjoy global favourites like the Crunchwrap Supreme, Cheesy Gordita Crunch, Grilled Stuft Burrito and Crunchy Taco Supreme
The store, which sits directly above Green Square train station, features an open kitchen so customers can see their orders being freshly prepared to order.
For entertainment, customers can access the self-serve music kiosk to curate their own tunes to enjoy whiling dining.
Other features include free WiFi, USB charging stations and kiosk ordering screens.
The store opening will offer fans a fun-filled day featuring giveaways of merchandise including oversized taco hats and fire sauce themed socks.

Being the first inner Sydney location, the opening day crowd is expected to smash all records for New South Wales.
Taco Bell will have five NSW stores once Green Square opens, bringing the country’s total to 21 stores.
The most recent restaurant opening in Ballina in the Northern Rivers region of NSW, attracted more than 1,000 patrons on opening day.
Due to the success of the NSW stores to date, expansion plans are on course with the next restaurant to open in Tamworth later this year.

Taco Bell opened its first store in California in 1962 and now has 7,000 sites across the US and serves 2billion customers worldwide.
It opened a branch in Sydney in the early 1980s and in 1997 but withdrew both times.
The restaurant chain returned to Australia in 2017, opening it’s first store in Brisbane’s Annerley, before unveiling five more stores around Queensland.
Taco Bell has since expanded across NSW and Victoria.
In NSW alone, the brand has served more than 580,000 customers. No surprises the most popular menu item is tacos, with over 617,000 devoured across the state at locations in Blacktown, Jesmond, Albion Park and Ballina.
