Tammy Abraham‘s girlfriend has hit out at Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel for leaving the striker out of his squad for the FA Cup final. 

Abraham’s future at Stamford Bridge was plunged into further doubt after he was omitted from the Blues’ squad for the showpiece which they went on to lose 1-0 to Leicester City.

The Chelsea striker’s girlfriend Leah Monroe took to Instagram to vent her frustration over Tuchel’s decision.

‘How on earth do you make the decision to leave your top goal scorer out of the squad for a final?! She said in a now deleted Instagram post.

‘The same person who even scored the goal to actually qualify for this competition? It’s not making any sense to me whatsoever.’

 She added: ‘Not even on the bench?! This has to be a joke. ‘

Timo Werner lead the line for the Blues with veteran striker Olivier Giroud and record signing Kai Havertz both amongst the substitutes. That left Abraham to watch from the stands.

The 23-year-old has found opportunities hard to come by since Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard as manager in January.

Despite falling down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge Abraham remains Chelsea’s top scorer this season having scored 12 goals in 34 appearances.

He scored his first senior hat-trick in an FA Cup fourth round win over Luton and netted the winner at Barnsley in the fifth round of the competition.  

The England international has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, both Aston Villa and West Ham are rumoured to be interested.
