Travis Kelce‘s own success in the NFL has been a major point of attraction for Taylor Swift, it has been revealed.

The 34-year-old Kelce is a two-time Super Bowl winner with the Kansas City Chiefs – the team he has played for his whole career – and has forged a reputation as one of the finest tight ends in the history of the NFL.

It is that success and the lifestyle he has lived around it which, according to US Weekly on Friday night, has led to Swift and her inner circle being won over by Kelce.

A source was quoted by the publication as saying: ‘Travis is someone who is so different for her. With him it’s easy. She doesn’t have to worry about anything.

‘He has his own career and money. So he’s not with her for the wrong reasons. He has his own successful career and understands the demands.

Taylor Swift is reportedly drawn to Travis Kelce because of his own career in the NFL

‘There’s no drama and they’re happy. He’ll visit, she’ll visit. It’s working for them.’

Swift has been at three of Kelce’s last four games in the NFL, cheering him on amid a five-game winning streak for the Chiefs.

It is currently unclear if she will be back at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City this weekend when the Chiefs and Kelce play against the Los Angeles Chargers but for the short-term at least, she doesn’t have many more opportunities to see him play.

Next week, the Chiefs are in Denver to play the Broncos but the weekend after head to Germany to play the Miami Dolphins on November 5 – four days before Swift’s Eras Tour resumes in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Kelce’s bye week with the Chiefs, however, falls the weekend after the Dolphins game meaning that he could theoretically go and see her play in South America.

She tours Argentina and Brazil up until November 26, so could then return to see the Chiefs play the Green Bay Packers on December 3.

Kelce is currently on a $54m contract with the Chiefs that runs until next year. Earlier this year, he said he is underpaid but doesn’t mind.

‘My managers and agents love to tell me how underpaid I am,’ Kelce told Vanity Fair.

‘Any time I talk about wanting more money, they’re just like, ‘Why don’t you go to the Chiefs and ask them?’”

But Kelce said that cash is no substitute to being on a winning team – and the Chiefs won the Super Bowl earlier this year. He compared his situation to former teammate Tyreek Hill, who left the Chiefs to sign a $30m-a-year deal with the Dolphins.

‘When I saw Tyreek go and get 30 a year, in the back of my head, I was like, man, that’s two to three times what I’m making right now,’ Kelce said.

‘I’m like, the free market looks like fun until you go somewhere and you don’t win. I love winning. I love the situation I’m in.’

Swift, 33, has an estimated wealth of $740million after her massively popular Eras Tour, which will continue well into next year with more dates in the US, Europe and Asia.
