Warrington was floored in the fourth round but managed to continue before eventually being knocked out.

Mexican fighter Lara started quickly and eventually managed to get the upper hand against Warrington.

Warrington was left vulnerable as a result of his open approach, with Lara, who was competing in his first fight on British soil, taking advantage.

Lara was seen as an ideal opponent that Warrington could overcome as he looked to gain momentum in his first fight since October 2019.

However, after suffering a setback, Warrington will now take his time to assess his options with regards to his next fight.
