The Bachelorette’s aspiring actor Carlin Sterritt snubs Home and Away

EXCLUSIVE: ‘I’m still pursuing my career!’ The Bachelorette’s aspiring actor Carlin Sterritt snubs Home and Away – as he fails to secure any TV or movie roles since the dating show

Home and Away has launched some of the biggest acting careers in Hollywood.

But The Bachelorette‘s aspiring actor Carlin Sterritt has revealed he doesn’t want to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Chris Hemsworth by starring on the soap.

Discussing his hopes of making it as a screen star, the 30-year-old snubbed the idea of appearing on the iconic Australian program on Tuesday morning.

The personal trainer said he is unsure what his dream role in Australia would be, but admitted it would not be on Home and Away, and laughed at the idea.

When asked why, Carlin shrugged and then appeared equally as unimpressed at the idea of starring on rival Australian soap, Neighbours.

‘I honestly don’t know, I haven’t given it much thought,’ Carlin said of Neighbours.

When asked by Daily Mail Australia if he has secured any acting work since filming The Bachelorette earlier this year, Carlin responded: ‘Nothing just yet. But I’m still going to be pursuing my career and doing what I love.’

He added that girlfriend Angie Kent is supportive of his dream, which is ‘awesome’.

Carlin spoke candidly to Daily Mail Australia outside Channel 10’s studios in Pyrmont, Sydney on Tuesday, following an appearance on Studio 10 with Angie Kent.

Whereas Carlin appears to be searching for bigger roles on TV, other stars from The Bachelor franchise have launched their acting careers on the two soaps.

Former Bachelor Tim Robards plays Pierce Grayson on Neighbours, and former Bachelorette Sam Frost plays Jasmine Delaney on Home and Away.

During his time on The Bachelorette, Carlin’s desire to make it as an actor led to drama with Angie, who briefly doubted his intentions for appearing on the show.

She later believed he was indeed looking for love, and chose him as her winner.

In recent years, Carlin has modeled in campaigns for Harvey Norman, and also appeared in short films like Red Zone, Divided and Graveyard Shift.

Furthermore, he has a lead role in the upcoming Australian drama Out of the Woods, which he filmed before appearing on The Bachelorette.
