The Bachelor’s Matty Johnson ‘bans’ his daughter from wearing makeup until she’s 21

The Bachelor‘s Matty Johnson has jokingly banned his one-year-old daughter, Marlie Mae, from wearing makeup until she’s 21.

The 33-year-old shared a photo to his Instagram Story on Monday of the toddler wearing her mother Laura Byrne’s highlighter.

In a tongue-in-cheek video, he then had a strict word with Marlie Mae, telling her that she can’t wear makeup for ‘at least 20 years’.

In the picture, Marlie Mae looks into the camera with her brow furrowed and appears to have highlighter on her nose, cheeks and forehead. 

‘The face she pulls when I tell her off for getting into Laura’s highlighter,’ Matty captioned the photo.   

In the subsequent video, the former reality star can be heard telling off his daughter while she plays with an empty AirPods case.   

He captioned the video: ‘Sometimes you just have to put your foot down.’ 

Matty told Marlie Mae in the footage: ‘You’re not allowed to wear makeup anymore. Do you understand me? 

‘There’s no way of you arguing your way out of this one, my dear. No makeup for at least 20 years!’

Meanwhile, the child looks adorable in a pink floral onesie as she says ‘no’ to her dad.

Earlier this month, the family embarked on holiday on the NSW South Coast to celebrate Matty’s 33rd birthday.  

They stayed at the Bannisters in Mollymook resort, where they enjoyed several hikes and made the most of the nearby beaches and bushland.

Matty and Laura met and fell in love on The Bachelor in 2017.
