The Block’s Shaynna Blaze reveals which one of the judges on the show is the most annoying to work with
Shaynna Blaze has judged rooms alongside Neale Whitaker and Darren Palmer on The Block for over a decade.
And on Friday, the acclaimed interior designer, 57, revealed to Nova’s Chrissie, Sam and Bronwy who among them was the most annoying to work with.
‘God love him, but it’s got to be Darren, and he knows that,’ she confessed.

‘I love him to death, but Darren just keeps on and on about certain details in his formulas, and he has this certain formula (for scoring).’
She explained that her co-judge’s formula is very meticulous by giving certain points for different factors in a room, but noted that: ‘We all end up with pretty much the same score.’
The blonde beauty added: ‘(Darren) has to go through that analytical part, and that’s his brain.’

Meanwhile, for her own judging style, she said, ‘Do I like it, don’t I like it – that’s where I go.’
Shaynna began as a judge on The Block back in 2012, Darren was a instated as a series regular the following year, while Neale back in 2010.

Her playful response comes after she recently reflected on hitting rock bottom following her split from her husband Steve Vaughan, in August 2018.
She told New Idea earlier this year: ‘You reach a point you think you’re never going to hit and sometimes it’s okay to just sit there and go, “I can’t get out of this hole I’m in for a while”, but I can reach out to people when it gets too bad to pull me out of this swamp.’
Shaynna and Steve tied the knot 19 years ago. They had previously been dating for 11 months after meeting at a local bar in Melbourne.
She is the mother of two children, a son, Jesse Thomas, and a daughter, Carly Anne, whom she shares with her first husband.
