It’s had huge success around the world and now The Masked Singer has finally come to the UK after originating in South Korea in 2015.
And the first episode of the singing competition show aired on Saturday night, as six of the 12 celebrities took to the stage in costume as a Butterfly, a Duck, a Unicorn, a Chameleon, and a Bee.
It was the Butterfly whose identity was revealed after they were eliminated from the show, and it was Patsy Palmer who was unveiled underneath the elaborate costume.
The Masked Singer: Patsy Palmer was REVEALED to be The Butterfly on Saturday night… as fans rejoice after guessing her identity before it was unveiled
The EastEnders star, 47, performed her own rendition of Florence + The Machine’s You’ve Got the Love, but her efforts weren’t rewarded as she ended up in the bottom three with the Chameleon and the Duck.
Giving clues to her identity, the judges were told that she had left the UK to go live somewhere where her home was under threat, that she worked as a DJ, and her marriage was watched by millions.
But even with that information, the judges were wrong on all counts as they kept picking A-List stars like Cara Delevinge, Betty White and Cat Deeley as their guesses about her identity.
So, when Patsy revealed herself the judges were beyond shocked as they got to their feet and cheered her before she was sent home.

‘I love music, it’s a total passion of mine (I DJ) so I’m constantly playing music. To be able to get on a stage that size was a dream too although I must say I was really nervous.’
While when asked about keeping her identity secret, she claimed it wasn’t an issue as she said: ‘It’s been pretty easy as I live in the states so I’m not seeing anything to get into the conversations.’
