Thief drives off in $275,000 Ferrari 488 Spider

The fast and the careless: Thief drives off in $275,000 Ferrari 488 Spider after owner parks it up in Staten Island overnight… and leaves the keys in it

  •  The Ferrari 488 Spider was stolen from a property in Staten Island, NYC 
  •  Police say the thief sped away after finding keys that were left inside of the car
  • Authorities are trying to recover the vehicle, which has a license plate with the number KH5738 


Police are seeking a Ferrari that was stolen from a private residence in New York after its owner left the keys inside the vehicle. 

The Ferrari 488 Spider was stolen from a property in the New York City borough of Staten Island at some time between 6pm on Monday and 8am on Tuesday. 

The residence is located near Savo Loop and Station Avenue, according to authorities.  

Police say the thief entered the unoccupied vehicle and sped away with keys that were left inside of the car. 

The Ferrari 488 Spider, pictured above, was stolen from a property in the New York City borough of Staten Island at some time between 6pm on Monday and 8am on Tuesday

Authorities are now trying to recover the vehicle, which has a New York license plate with the number KH5738. 

The white 2016 Ferrari Spider was last seen on the Cross Bronx Expressway on Tuesday. 

The vehicle is valued at approximately $275,000.
