Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier have ensured there will be no last-minute hiccups as the pair each hit the scales on weight for Saturday night’s mammoth UFC 257 clash.

The lightweight contenders meet for a long-awaited rematch on Fight Island, Abu Dhabi, with McGregor defeating ‘Diamond’ on his way to the featherweight title back in 2014. 

The stakes are high with the winner of Saturday’s main event expected to compete for the title next, with long-reigning champion Khabib Nurmagomedov announcing his retirement last year.

And having come face-to-face at Thursday’s press conference, the pair weighed in for the highly-anticipated lightweight bout. 

Poirier, 32, weighed in at 156 pounds, which is eligible for lightweight fights that are not for the title. 

Meanwhile, McGregor hit the scales at 155 pounds, before flexing and telling the smattering of reporters in the room: ‘That is 155 – championship weight’.
