US Election 2020: Trump plans lines up six rallies in swing states

Donald Trump plans breakneck rally schedule as he battles sinking poll numbers with six rallies on Friday and Saturday including an entire day in Pennsylvania

  • President Donald Trump will clock three rallies a day on both Friday and Saturday in an effort to outwork Democrat Joe Biden
  • Trump will head to Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota on Friday and then spend all day Saturday in Pennsylvania
  • He hasn’t announced his Sunday or Monday schedule yet, but will be in North Carolina on Monday to make up for a cancelled Thursday rally

President Donald Trump will clock three rallies a day on both Friday and Saturday in an effort to outwork Democrat Joe Biden, who’s consistenly led in the polls.

On Friday, the president is hitting two states that he won in 2016, crumbling the Democrats’ so-called ‘blue wall’ – Michigan and Wisconsin – as well as Minnesota, a pick-up Trump and Republicans have had their eye on.

And then on Saturday, Trump will hopscotch across Pennsylvania, which was the nail in Hillary Clinton‘s campaign’s coffin in 2016, with rallies planned in Bucks County, Reading and Butler.

Biden has roots in Pennsylvania, having been born and spent his early years in Scranton, which Trump and his family members have mocked, arguing that the president has a deeper connection with the KeyStone States because he attended the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton business school.

Biden’s easiest path to the presidency is to simply flip back to blue Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, while retaining all the other states that Clinton won.

Trump will go to Waterford Township in Michigan, Green Bay, Wisconsin and

The Real Clear Politics polling average puts Biden ahead 4.3 points in Pennsylvania, 8.2 points ahead in Michigan and 6.4 points ahead in Wisconsin.

Polls had Clinton leading Trump in the three ‘blue wall’ states in 2016 as well because pollsters didn’t survey enough white, non-college educated voters, which made up Trump’s base.

Four years later, pollsters have said they’ve fixed their sampling – though Trump continues to disagree, telling crowd after crowd at his packed rallies that the ‘fake news’ polls are again not right.

Trump hasn’t released his schedule for the final two days on the campaign trail – Sunday and Monday – but a Fayetteville, North Carolina rally that was cancelled Thursday due to high winds is slated to happen Monday.

Earlier this month en route to an Arizona rally, Trump confirmed to DailyMail.com that he was considering doing five rallies a day in the final stretch.
