The 28-year-old has performed valiantly despite his side’s toil against relegation this season.
He has one year left on contract and has begun to attract interest from Premier League rivals such as West Ham, Tottenham and Leeds United.

Albion recognise they will struggle to keep Johnstone should they go down but they are not prepared to let him go without a fight.
They value the former England U20 international highly and it is understood want optimum price from any suitors for a goalkeeper of his standing.
Johnstone has made more saves than any other goalkeeper in the Premier League this season, an indication of the pressure he has been under this campaign.

However, England manager Gareth Southgate selected him for the World Cup qualifying triple header against San Marino, Albania and Poland in March, saying: ‘I’ve not worked with Sam since I was with the U21s. Now, he’s had several seasons of league football under his belt. Although the club have had a difficult season, Sam has maintained a good level of performance.’
