What 2020 has in store for the royals according to their star signs

The British royal family could have an exciting new start to the new decade, astrologists have predicted.

According to London-based star sign experts Francesca Oddie and Ann-Louise Holland, Prince William, 37, and Kate Middleton, 37, could add to their brood, which already includes Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1.

Additionally, a lunar eclipse is said to be a big year of transition for the Cambridges, with the experts predicting they could ‘break traditions’ and carve out a ‘new style for the monarchy’.

Meanwhile Mars’ retrograde in Aries in September could mean we see less of Meghan Markle, 38, in the second half of 2020, either due to a second pregnancy with Prince Harry, 35, or because of a reduced schedule.

Elsewhere Harry looks to be focused on protecting his family and set up new privacy precedents, while Princess Eugenie steps out of father Prince Andrew’s shadow following his Epstein scandal.

Speaking to Femail,  Francesca and Ann-Louise said: ‘2020 is a big year for all of us in the UK, particularly the royals whose stars are so intimately entwined with the legacy of this nation.’

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

According to star sign experts Francesca Oddie and Ann-Louise Holland, Prince William, 37, and Kate Middleton, 37, could add to their brood, which already includes Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, (all seen in September on their first school day) and Prince Louis, 1

A transformational year

‘William and Kate are both experiencing transits of a lifetime with eclipses and planetary action that is thrusting them into a world of change.

‘A lunar eclipse on the 10th of January, is the day after the Duchess of Cambridge’s 38th birthday.

‘Eclipses repeat themselves every 19 years, and in 2001 Kate went to university, where she met Prince William and the trajectory of her life changed dramatically.

‘We can expect something as transformational this year, if not more so as these eclipses fall in Cancer where they both have their natal moon.’

A possible pregnancy

‘If she falls pregnant again, this will be an important child and will change Kate’s outlook where she establishes herself as the nation’s ultimate mother.

Breaking traditions for the future monarchy

‘The need for freedom, change and independence is calling the Cambridges as Uranus the planet of change opens up new and exciting pathways for Kate and helps break ties with family and tradition for William.

‘These two really could carve out a new style for the monarchy in 2020 that is meaningful and credible.’

The Duchess of Sussex

A support network

‘Heavyweight planets, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto repeatedly urge the Duchess of Sussex to upgrade her inner circle of friends as well as her support network, or even the household at Frogmore Cottage, as these planets meet repeatedly in her relationship sector.

Baby number two

‘Mars’ retrograde in Aries in September could mean we see less of her, either due to a reduced schedule or potentially another pregnancy.

‘The royal family could definitely be expanding.’

Prince Harry

Fighting for new laws

‘Meanwhile Prince Harry will definitely be showing a more serious and determined side to him as the Sagittarius lunar eclipses sits on his natal mars, and another in July on his Capricorn ascendant.

‘The usually happy and jokey Duke of Sussex will change his whole demeanor to a more fierce but mature figurehead with leadership qualities as he turns to the law to protect his family and set up new privacy precedents.’

Princess Eugenie

Turning 30

‘Princess Eugenie is experiencing her Saturn Return, a rite of passage that we all meet when we turn 30 that has lots to do with how we become our own authority figure, replacing the directive of our father which is timely.’

Leaving Prince Andrew’s shadow

‘Whilst it may seem like she has everything, she has had a weak or narcissistic father figure and her chart shows she hides her pain or unhappiness and puts on a front, yet she has the potential to be a true humanitarian in 2020 and demonstrate her true individuality.’

Princess Beatrice

Creativity and children

‘Eugenie’s sister, Princess Beatrice may be in the throes of marriage plans, but the Capricorn solar eclipse in 2019 hits her emotionally, right opposite her natal moon and Venus in her sector of self-expression, creativity and children.

‘Urging her to evolve how she presents herself, she will no longer have the aura of ‘royal protection’ and she will be grappling with a new vulnerability, whilst also being centre stage.

‘The Venus retrograde in May and June will see her re-evaluating her lifestyle even further since it crosses her home sectors.

‘This is much more than just moving into a marital household, as this is Gemini which rules information, she will want to research new ideas about where she comes from and what she has inherited.’
